Marketing Matters Wins min Integrated Marketing Award for Custom Publishing Project

Marketing Matters, one of the most respected full-service marketing, public relations and advertising agencies, has been honored by the prestigious min Integrated Marketing Awards (IMA) as the recipient of the Best Custom Publishing Project Award for Gear Head magazine.

Taking into consideration numerous factors that go into the development, design and production of integrated marketing campaigns and custom publishing projects, the min Integrated Marketing Awards judged finalists, including Gear Head magazine, on a number of criteria including execution, measurement of results, budget, return on investment (ROI), creativity, overall results and more.

Other finalists for this year’s IMA Custom Publishing Project Award included Hearst Integrated Media’s 30 days of Fashion 2008, Midwest Living’s Michigan Travel Ideas 2009, People Magazine’s “People Celebrates the Holidays with Kraft,” and Successful Meetings’ (Nielsen Business Media) South Africa Meeting & Incentive Planner’s Guide. Winners in other categories included Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia And My M&M’s: “Your Holiday, Your Way” campaign, “Sears: ReImagine You” campaign, Playboy for its got2b print/mobile campaign, and Wenner Media for its Us Weekly and Rolling Stone promotions of Showtime’s Dexter.

Created to educate and entertain consumer electronics integrators, Gear Head is edited and designed in its entirety by Marketing Matters in collaboration with AVAD, North America’s leading distributor of custom electronics.

Gear Head is published three times a year and features articles from AVAD dealers, vendors, employees and other respected experts in the custom electronics industry. The custom publication also features “tips and hints” on relevant topics such as communications, technology trends, new areas of profitability, sales, customer service, system design and installation ideas. Since its inaugural issue in fall of 2007, Gear Head’ circulation has grown to approximately 18,000 subscribers with distribution throughout North America.

This year’s min Integrated Marketing Award showcases just the latest honor for the award-winning custom publication. Gear Head earned the Gold Award at the Custom Publishing Council’s 2007 Pearl Awards in the “Design: Best New Publication/Magazine” category, and in 2008, the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP) awarded the magazine a MarCom Platinum Award in the “Design/Magazine Cover” category.
