KanexPro Adds Active Optical Cable to Product Lineup

Optical fiber cable designed to extend 4K /60 Hz HDMI signals with YUV 4:4:4 Color Space with zero loss or latency

Brea, Calif. – January 9, 2017 – KanexPro, an industry-leading provider of connectivity solutions to the IT and A/V markets, announces the launch of Active Optical Cable (AOC), an HDMI 2.0 cable over fiber designed with premium craftsmanship to deliver 18 Gbps bandwidth and UltraHD 4K Video resolutions up to 60Hz. The Active Optical Cable accepts the same electrical inputs as traditional copper cables and instead utilizes optical fiber between the connectors to extend HDMI signals with zero signal loss.

The Active Optical Cable (AOC) from KanexPro delivers uncompressed 4K resolutions with sub-sampling rates of 4:4:4, 4:2:2 and 4:2:0 YUV with HDR and Deep Color, the AOC is resistant to EMI and RF interference to provide users with noise-free video and audio.  With HDMI 2.0’s latest specs, it supports 32 audio channels for multi-dimensional immersive audio up to 1536 kHz sample frequency for high-fidelity audio. Available in lengths of 30 meters, 50 meters or 100 meters, the Active Optical Cable has an integrated USB connector to draw power and properly output from any Ultra HD based display performing  dynamic synchronization of video and audio streams.. The Active Optical Cable is HDCP 2.2 compliant and supports wide angle theatrical 21:9 video aspect ratio, 3D and full 4Kx2K up to 60Hz.
